Love in a mist Chapter 1: The Encounter

** At the garden, H4 were sitting in the grass, talking and laughing.
(H4 is a known group in Kyonggi Academy, a school for rich students. They are 4 senior boys and they control the academy. H4 stands for “Handsome 4”. )

Max: Where will we go after class?
Xiah: Let’s go to the bar! There are pretty chicks there! (Laughing)
Yunho: It’s a good idea! I want to party.
Hero: (While reading a book and doesn’t even dare to look at them.) I don’t want to go.

** The 3 were shock and look at Hero.

Xiah: You are so boring! Are you gay?! (Irritated)
Hero: Of course not. Fine I’m going with you guys. (He closed the book, stand and walk away.)

** Rose was looking at their direction and stare at them with disappointment.

Rose: These guys are the worst! They’re just fooling around and wasting the money of their parents. I don’t want to study here in the first place. (Fix her bike in the parking area and leave.)

[Bell rings]

** H4 and Rose are classmates. Rose entered the room and looked for a sit.

Lovely: (Facing the desk of Rose.) Hi! I’m Lovely and you are? (She extends her right hand.)
Rose: I’m Rose. I am a transferee, how about you? I think it’s weird here.
Lovely: Eh? No it’s not. By the way, I’m the class president and if you need my help
just call me.
Jen: Lovely, you’re such a bigheaded. (Smiled at Rose)
Lovely: Duh! I’m modest.
Rose: You guys! Stop it, okay? Friends?
Lovely & Jen: FRIENDS!

[Their professor arrive]

Prof: Class, our topic for today is about…
Lovely: (Writing) Rose. Hero is cute, isn’t it? I have a huge crush on him a long time a go but I think he doesn’t like girls. (Passed the note to Rose)
Rose: You have a crush on him? (Whispers)
Lovely: Yes! (Smiled)

[After 1 hour, bell rings. It’s their break]

** At the cafeteria where everyone gather around, happily eating and laughing. Rose was looking at H3’s direction again.

Rose: Bastards! (Her handkerchief fell)

[While reaching for it, a cold hand touched her hand and when she looked up, it was Hero.]

Rose: (In her mind) Shocks! He’s so handsome. Oops! It can’t be. I hate his group.
Hero: Here’s your hankie.
Rose: Thank you.

[Hero walked away. Lovely and Jen were approaching]

Lovely: Hey! What’s that?! I’m starting to get jealous.
Rose: Are you nuts? It’s nothing.
Jen: You’re hiding something. Know what? Men are bullshit. (Flaming eyes)
Rose: Jen, just chill. I guess you are right.

** At Embassy

Xiah: Hey miss! Let’s dance. (Went to the dance floor)
Max: Waiter! One vodka without ice, please.
Waiter: Yes sir.
Yunho: (Talking to a girl at the next table) Hey beautiful, are you free tonight?
Girl1: Yes, I would love to accompany you tonight (winked and touched Yunho)
Man: Hey! She’s my girl. (Hit Yunho on the jaw)

[It cause the fight. Hero went to the manager.]

Hero: Here’s the pay for the damage.
Manager: Thank you sir.

**At Rose house

Rose: Ma! Pa! I’m home.
Linda: It’s good that you are back. I’m going out. I’ll be back tomorrow. Don’t wait for your father.
Rose: (Surprised) Ma! (Her mother left already)

[She took a seat and imagined Hero’s face]

Rose: (Talking to herself) No! Lovely will be mad. I don’t want that to happen.

** The next day. In their classroom

Yunho: Xiah, look at Rose. She’s staring at Hero.
Xiah: Yah. Another girl falling for Hero’s innocent look. Hey I have a plan.

[Break. At the locker of Rose]

Rose: Oh! Who put this letter in my locker? (unfolded the paper)

Rose,

Meet me at the rooftop. 4 pm sharp. I'll wait for you ~ Hero

[She smiled and hurriedly went to the bathroom]

**Exactly 4:00 pm
[Rose went to the rooftop and she was surprised]

Rose: Why you are here? Where is Hero? Is he sick or something?
Xiah: Ha! Our star came. I guess it’s true that you like Hero.
Rose: No! (Shook her head)

[Yunho walked near Rose and examined Rose from head to foot]

Yunho: Hmm? (He raised his one eyebrow. Put his hand to his chin) Flat chest. Small butt. You look like a walking surfing board. (Laugh)

[Rose wants to cry but she’s controlling it. Max went to her.]

Max: Hero will never like a girl like you.
Rose: Stop! I don’t want to hear your insults. (Hit Max on the jaw.)

** Rose went directly to the chapel and took a sit beside a guy.

Hero: Why are you crying?
Rose: *sobbing* Because… coz… (Look to the guy)

[She was surprised]

Hero: Here, use my hankie and wipe that thing on your face.
Rose: (She feel embarrassed and take the hankie) thank you (she wiped her tears and the dirt)
Hero: Stop crying. You look unpleasant.
Rose: The reason why I cried is because…

[Hero already left. Rose smiled and kneel down to pray.]
